A WORKSHOP TO LEARN THE PROCESS AND SKILLS OF PROJECTIVE DREAMWORK TO EXPLORE AND UNDERSTAND THE INSIGHTS, WISDOM AND CALL TO ACTION OF NIGHT-TIME DREAMS FOR YOUR LIFE, WORK AND COMMUNITY
Every night we make movies in our heads! Every night we make stories come alive and we experience the most outlandish of things: We fly! Or, we can't run from danger! Our teeth fall out of our mouth! We fall and wake up before we hit the ground! We see storms or wars! We swim with dolphins or visit with lions and tigers and bears (oh my!) We converse with long-dead relatives. We solve problems. We write songs. We invent new tools. All these and more come alive in our night-time dreams.
In this workshop, we will use examples from volunteers' dreams (YOUR dreams) to explore the rich meanings of dreams for all of us. We will see how we can "borrow" someone else's dream and let that dream serve to give us new direction and insights for our life, as well as the life of our larger community, town, state and nation.
Projective DreamWork uses a natural, built-in skill of what all humans (and probably all mammals) do...project our unconscious, inner thoughts, impulses, feelings, beliefs onto others and onto objects. Projective Dreamwork explores this dynamic in safe, gentle, non-judgemental, fun, non-invasive and egalitarian ways. And, you can take these skills home, use them with clients and other work situations and enrich your life forever!
